This thesis called "Television game shows and quiz shows in the Czech republic between 1989 - 2004" deals with the historical development of television game shows and quiz shows in the Czech republic in the first 15 years since the so- called Velvet revolution in 1989. The first, theoretical part outlines some basic terms related both to television game shows and quiz shows and to television entertainment in general. The second part summarizes television competitions in Czech TV stations in the given period from the historical point of view.
General education in questions of TV competitions

The theme of the bachelor thesis is, based on the analysis of questions that are put to entrants of the selected TV contest, to uncover the authors' idea of general education in the Czech Republic. The data for the content analysis were obtained from the TV show Míň je víc (originally Pointless) broadcasted by the Czech Television in 2015. The concept of thematic categories, in which the questions are placed, is based on the current Framework Educational Programmes for elementary and secondary schools; however, the structure is changed for the purpose of this thesis.

Bachelor's thesis called "Television entertainment in 2013" deals with trends, basic signs and kinds of TV shows belonging to the genre of television entertainment (TV fun) broadcasted in Czech republic. The first and theoretical chapter's goal is to outline some essential terms related to the genre and television entertainment. The rest of the work has been devoted to the actual analysis of individual programs. The work is divided into Czech and foreign series, Czech and foreign game shows, reality television and Czech and foreign entertainment programs.
TV competitions for youth development and transformation in the Czech republic (1992-2010) example of Bludiště competiotion

The bachelor thesis "TV competitions for children development and transformation in the Czech republic (1992 - 2010): example of Bludiště competition" surveys game/quiz shows for children aired by Czech television from 1992 to 2010. The theoretical part includes some aspects of the children and television relation and deals with game/quiz show genre and its characteristics. In the analytical part, one of the programmes, Bludiště competition, is the subject of the analysis, which aim is to find out how this competitition has changed within almost sixteen years of its existence. Quantitative analysis investigates primarily the importance of particular segments of the programme with focus on knowledge and entertainment part, qualitative analysis covers another changes of competition. After that game/quiz shows for children broadcasted by Czech television as a whole are examined. Again, knowledge and entertainment ratio within this programmes constitute the main object of interest, attention is dedicated also to values and messages communicated to children via this competitions. In the final part main findings are compared with the children point of view represented by results of research realized in six schools within the Czech republic.
